Terms & Conditions
1. Reservations and Deposit
To reserve the accommodation, the guest must complete a reservation request via the website or one of the affiliated partners.
The reservation becomes a confirmed booking once the owners have sent written confirmation by email and the non‑refundable deposit stated on the invoice has been received (20% of the total rental amount).
Once the 20% deposit has been paid and received, the booking is formally accepted.
2. Payments
The remaining balance of the rental amount is due 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, unless otherwise agreed.
If payment has not been received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to notify the guest in writing that the reservation has been cancelled.
The guest remains liable for the outstanding balance unless the owners are able to re‑let the property. In that case, point 6 of these booking conditions applies.
Reservations made within 6 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.
3. Additional Costs
Any costs incurred during the rental period must be settled on site with the owners or their representative before departure.
4. Security Deposit
A security deposit of €500 is required and must be transferred together with the final rental payment.
The deposit may be used in the event of damage to the property, its contents, or for additional cleaning costs.
The amount reserved under this clause does not limit the guest’s liability to the owners.
The owners will refund the full amount within one week after the end of the rental period, provided the property is left in the condition in which it was found, or they will deduct any costs as described.
5. Cancellation
Subject to points 2 and 3 above, in the event of cancellation, any payments made beyond the initial 20% deposit will be refunded if the owners are able to re‑let the property.
6. Insurance
Guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance, including full cover for personal belongings, party liability, accidents, and repatriation, as these are not covered by the owners’ insurance.
7. Rental Period
The rental period begins at 16:00 on the first day (unless otherwise agreed) and ends at 10:00 on the last day (unless otherwise agreed).
The owners are not obliged to provide access to the property, facilities, or grounds before the stated arrival time or after the stated departure time.
The guest is not entitled to remain on the premises after the agreed departure time.
Additional cleaning or labour costs due to late departure will be deducted from the security deposit.
8. Ctonduct
The guest agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the accommodation, and to leave it in good condition with all items in the same state as at the start of the rental period.
It is appreciated if the accommodation is left broom‑clean, including dishes and cutlery washed and stored in the correct cupboards.
Please ensure that the stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine are clean.
The guest is also responsible for cleaning the barbecue and ensuring that all rubbish is removed from the property and placed in the designated bins (see house rules on site).
If the house is not left as it was found, a €40 fee will be deducted from the deposit.
The person who made the booking is responsible for paying for any breakages or damage if the accommodation is not left in its original condition.
Please inform the owners of any breakages or damage to the property, inventory, pool or outdoor furniture so that items can be replaced and enjoyed by future guests.
Causing disturbance or nuisance may also result in the deposit being withheld at the end of the stay.
9. Capacity
The maximum number of guests staying in the property may not exceed the number agreed at the time of booking, unless written permission has been given by the owners.
10. Linen
Beds are made up on arrival and towels are provided.
Pool towels are not included.
Please remove the bed linen and leave all used bedding in the bathroom on the day of departure.
Information regarding departure cleaning expectations can be found in the accommodation.
11. Defects
The guest must immediately report any defects in the property or any malfunction of equipment, machines or appliances in the house, garden or pool to the owners.
Arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.
12. Liability
The owners are not liable to the guest for any temporary defect or interruption in the supply of public services to the accommodation, nor for any equipment, installations, machines or other appliances in the property, garden or pool.
13. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation.
If you smoke outside, please ensure that cigarettes are disposed of safely and fully extinguished.
14. Swimming Pool
We love swimming ourselves, and here at Domaine La Cambie we have a wonderful large pool.
The pool is open between 09:00 and 20:00. Please do not use the pool outside these hours, as maintenance may be taking place, such as vacuuming or treating the water with cleaning products.
Outside opening hours, the pool has a fully operational safety alarm that is activated when the pool is closed.
Use of the pool is entirely at your own risk. Always supervise your children when they are near the pool.
Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the pool unless accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 must be supervised at all times.
All guests must follow the pool rules:
- Do not run on the terrace tiles
- Do not swim alone
- Do not push people into the pool
- Only bring plastic cups or cans to the pool — no glass (plastic cups are provided in the gîte)
- Do not play with sharp objects or throw stones into the pool, as this may cause injury and/or damage to the pool or its systems
- Do not damage the pool liner
- Do not enter the local technique (technical room)
- No diving
- No rough play
15. Complaints & Special Requirements
Every effort has been made to ensure you have a pleasant holiday.
However, if you have any reason for a complaint, please contact the owners immediately.
If a problem arises, the owners can resolve it quickly.
If you do not report a complaint immediately, it cannot be considered and no correspondence will be entered into.
Special requirements:
If you have special requests or needs, it is your responsibility to inform us at the time of booking.
We cannot guarantee that any requests will be met.
Failure to meet special requests does not constitute a breach of contract.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the property is fully suitable for your needs.
Please note that if a particular requirement is not specified on the website, it is not provided.
The rental agreement is made on the understanding that the property and facilities as published online will be available for the stated dates.
If the property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the owners’ control (for example, a simultaneous or double booking), the owners may be forced to cancel the booking.
This does not apply if the booking has already been confirmed to the guest.
If the property becomes unavailable, the guest will be informed immediately, the full amount paid will be refunded, and the guest will have no further claim against the owners.
15. Data Protection and Privacy
Information provided on booking forms is confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party or used for any other purpose.
16. Responsibility and Limitations
In no event shall the owners’ liability to the guest exceed the amount paid in relation to the rental period.
We cannot guarantee that all items or facilities listed on our website will be continuously operational.
If you or we discover a fault, damage, or malfunction, every effort will be made to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Please inform us immediately if you encounter any problems.
Items may fail and utilities may be interrupted, however rare.
Sometimes it is necessary to rely on external contractors or wait for replacement parts; we will do our best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
